Business Students Host Careers Event

Business Level 3 students this week organised their very own careers event, which involved a number of external guest speakers.

The event was organised as part of the group’s studies and was a unit requirement.

Guest Speakers included Felix Lee, from Armstrong Watson; Tom Lawrence, from Skipton Building Society; and Sally Whitaker, who works in the Apprenticeships team at Craven College.

Business student, Sabrina, said: “We came up with a careers fair as we thought it would be useful for all of the Business students at Craven College. The event was very interesting and provided a great insight into our next steps and possible career pathways. Feedback was fantastic, so overall a great result.”

Sarah Burgess, Business tutor, said: “I’m proud of the students for organising such a brilliant morning. The fact that they were able to bring in guest speakers from outside organisations was great. The morning ran smoothly and provided the students with plenty of insight.”
