Ex-Craven College Business student, Ashleigh Towell, returned to talk to current students about her experiences since leaving College in 2017. Ashleigh studied Level 3 Business Studies with Level 3 AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) where she particularly enjoyed the ‘Starting a Small Business' Module.
Having spent many happy holidays in Cornwall she knew that she wanted to go to Uni there and found a Business Entrepreneurship Degree at Falmouth University which fit her educational requirements. She has found the course different, interesting and practical, for example, in the first three weeks of Uni she had set up a limited liability company which started trading shortly afterwards.
When asked how Craven College had prepared her for University, Ashleigh replied, ‘The Level 3 Business was theoretical but real and really helped with my Degree. The presentation skills, communication skills and team working skills which I learned at College provided me with the right expertise to get started. ‘
Ashleigh's advice to current students for their future is 'Go with what you want to do not what everyone else wants you to do.'
