Manchester Art Visit
Art and Design Level 3 students visited the Manchester Museum and Whitworth Gallery.
The reason for the trip was to generate primary research for their upcoming project ‘Narrative’. The day saw students studying the artwork of Alice Kettle, Tracey Emin, Gillian Wearing, and many more.
For their Photography and Graphics work, students will be creating short films and animations. Seeing the work of William Kentridge at the Whitworth Gallery was a great inspiration.
Joan Murray, Art and Design tutor, said: “The trip was a fantastic opportunity for the group to gather ideas which will help with their upcoming work. It was also a good opportunity to socialize away from the classroom.”
