Craven College last week hosted a charity dog behaviour and training seminar, led by Freedom of Spirit Border Collie Trust founder, Barbara Sykes.

Nearly £140 was raised via ticket sales and a further £160 through book sales and behaviour appointments at the question and answer based seminar.

Barbara, who was joined by Ambassador Dog Tess who assists with demonstrations, covered everything including massage, mind games, diet, genetics, behaviour, recall, and lead control.

Izzy, who attended the event, said: “It was a great turn out at Craven College and Barbara was both entertaining and informative. The advice and guidance given focused on keeping things simple, and how communication and understanding are key. We came away with lots of practical pointers and tips to introduce inside and outside of the home. My key take away point was to take it slow and build the bond before reinforcing good manners and attempting training. It was worth every penny.”
