Congratulations To All Our 2019 Leavers
Craven College students were celebrating 100% pass rates in Vocational courses in Animal Management, Art & Design, Children’s Play, Learning & Development, Health & Social Care, Information Technology, Creative Digital Media Production and Performing Arts.
The College A Level students departed on a high with 100% pass rates in Photography, Sociology, Geography, Business, Maths, English Literature, English Language and Media Studies.
Performing Arts students Coral Morgan from Skipton and Oliver Burnett from Barnoldswick were overjoyed with their results. Coral is going to Bradford College to study a Foundation Degree in Performing Arts, whilst Oliver is going to enjoy a gap year before taking up his place at Drama School.
A Level student Katherine Dinsdale from Skipton is going to Liverpool University to study Criminology. Chloe Cooper from Rathmell is taking the 4.5-hour journey to Aberystwyth University to study Psychology. Ben Evans, from Skipton, has won a hard-fought place at Manchester Met to study Marketing and Science student Ciara Humphreys, from Cononley, is taking up her place at Bradford University to study Forensics.
Georgina Grayson, from Whalley, Lancs is thrilled to take up her place at UCLAN to study Clinical Psychology. She says, ‘Craven College gave me the opportunity to achieve the stepping stones for my future career. The teachers’ dedication and support has kept me going to achieve my goal in going to uni to ultimately be a Clinical Psychologist’
Sophia Mottram from Bradford has already been successfully placed on a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. Performing Arts student Jordan Preston from Bradford is thrilled to be taking up his place at Leeds Beckett University to study Theatre and Performance.
Rohit Rao, Business student from Ilkley with two Distinctions and a Merit is taking up his place at Keele University to study Economics and Finance.
Ciara Fleming and Jodie Jennison from Keighley have excelled in their Performing Arts courses. Ciara is going to Wakefield College to study BA (Hons) Actor Musician whilst Jodie will study Theatre and Performance at the Arden School of Theatre.
Joanne Sherrington, Interim Principal said ‘I would like to congratulate all our students both Vocational and A Level as they take up their places at University or start their careers. We have now said farewell to the last of our A Level cohort as we concentrate wholly on our vocational expertise which means we will continue to work closely with employers in order to ensure all our students leave College industry or university ready.’
