Three Aviation students have been selected to spend a three-month internship with aviation company Comlux based in Malta this summer.
Sarah McKenna, Luca Di Palma Heath and Lauren Bullock were successful in securing their placement with Comlux after attending an interview with the global company. During their time in Malta, they’ll learn about flight operations, crew planning, engineering on luxury business jets, as well as living independently in a European country and all the experiences that it brings.
The Aviation Academy and Comlux have a history of working together dating back years originally from an Erasmus Malta project. Nikki Chestnutt, Head of The Aviation Academy visited Comlux earlier this year to meet staff and learn more about the different departments the students would be working with.
Speaking about the students’ placement Nikki said, “The students are really investing in themselves and their future. This overseas experience will open up employment opportunities in a wide range of areas, some even with Comlux themselves. We wish them well in their summer adventure and look forward to all the stories and photos!”
