This is a great time to join Craven College; following an Ofsted inspection in January 2018 the College received a grade of Good with Outstanding Apprenticeships and praise for our excellent record of progression to university and employment. Our current Principal and CEO, Andrew Cropley, joined the College in November 2018 to lead us on the next stage of our journey.
The College maintains a healthy financial position in what are testing times for many colleges. We continue to make significant and extensive investments in buildings, facilities and equipment to ensure that we provide a relevant and valuable educational environment for our students. Having invested around £10M in new facilities over the last 6 years, including a new build Animal Management Centre which opened on the College’s Aireville Campus in summer 2018, we are now working on the development of a new Equine facility.
The College has a diverse portfolio of provision serving Craven, the Aire Valley, North Yorkshire and the travel to work area for Leeds and Bradford as well as East Lancashire. With an annual turnover of around £14m and 430 staff the College delivers apprenticeships, 16-18 provision, adult skills, higher education, high needs and a wide portfolio of project work with employers and the unemployed.
The College’s mission of “enriching lives through learning” is at the heart of what we do, and we are committed to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment which enables everyone to realise their full potential.
