Machine Embroidery – Introduction

Come and join us for a fun packed day, learning to sew or improve your freehand machine embroidery skills.

This introductory one-day course will provide you with the opportunity to learn basic freehand machine sewing skills (as appropriate to your design) to create your own beautiful piece of stitched artwork. Creating some basic sketches (drawing skills are not essential!) you will work out a plan to create your design. The tutor will guide you on each step of the process. You will learn professional tips and tricks from our tutor and learn skills such as to how best create a simple working sketch and design, how best to co-ordinate colours, set up your sewing machine and how to transform your piece of work into a usable product.

This course is suitable for beginners who possess very basic sewing skills in setting up & threading a machine and being able to sew straight stitch only. A great short course to boost your confidence! More experienced stitchers are also very welcome.
