Overview

Equivalent to three A Levels, this qualification provides extensive comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Health and Social Care and includes modules on Human Lifespan Development, Psychological Perspectives and Dealing with Challenging Behaviour whilst also concentrating on your own Personal and Professional Development.

Our tutors have a wide range of Health and Social Care experience ranging from managing Residential Homes and Homecare Services for people with learning difficulties to be a Ward Sister, to working in Nurseries, Primary Schools, Secondary and Special Schools through to Social Services. Their backgrounds mean that they have a wealth of experience on which to base their teaching and your learning. They also have many well-established contacts within the industry which is good in terms of work experience opportunities and excellent guest speakers.

This qualification is well received by Universities and employers alike, so you will have the option of a progression route to a rewarding career in the caring services or to Degree level study in one of the Social Care professions.
