Growing and arranging cut flowers has become more and more of an aspect of any gardener’s yearly activity. They are cheap, easy and bring the garden inside creating vibrant and stylish displays for the home.
This workshop will identify a range of different plants suitable for growing and cutting. It will cover the basics of sites, soils, seed sowing and cultivation. Cutting, conditioning, and drying will be discussed also. With a practical focus on sowing your own seeds. Some plant examples will be brought in by your tutor, for demonstration purposes only. A list of suitable seeds for sowing will be forwarded to students before the workshop, to enable a seed sowing activity as part of the day.
