Overview

Based at the Aireville Campus in Skipton, you will build on your existing skills as well as being introduced to Health and Social Care and the Childcare industry. You will complete 13 modules which will give you a fundamental understanding of what is involved in Childcare. You will be assessed through a variety of methods including small group presentations, assignments, projects and work-based assignments. You will attend work experience such as Nursery and School placements which will be in the form of one week of placements in every term, all arranged by Craven College, whilst completing your Level 1 Certificate in Occupational Studies for the Workplace qualification.

INFORMATION

You will need to pay for travel to placement, stationery and resources for activities. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a sweatshirt and polo shirt to wear whilst attending placement – this is optional. All students will have a DBS check which will cost approximately £46.
