Along with traditional A Levels and GCSE sciences we are delighted to be running vocational sciences with pathways in medical and forensic sciences.
You will develop your vocational practical skills to be able to follow scientific procedures in a logical and safe manner, observe and record data and present information effectively. Assignments and activities will be planned with ‘real-life’ scenarios in mind to give you a real feel for working in a modern science industry.
Our courses give you solid grounding in scientific principles, techniques and skills. These courses are offered by our specialist science staff to open up career opportunities in exciting and challenging industries. You will benefit from visits to specialist laboratories and guest speakers.
On these courses you will develop your communication skills through presentations and discussions where you will have the opportunity to express your opinions about current science issues. Employers value employees that are able to communicate effectively using electronic communication, the correct terminology and scientific symbols.
Qualifications in science can lead to higher education or opportunities in health-rated industries, the pharmaceutical industry, public services, environmental and the sports and outdoor industry.
