Develop your pattern cutting skills by drafting patterns for a dress, top, shirt or blouse. Learn how to manipulate the pattern block according to your design and the designs of fellow students. Consider your use of openings and professional garment finishes.
• Design a garment for production.
• Manipulate the pattern blocks in order to create individual patterns.
• Learn how to pattern cut and sew a range of garment openings.
• Construct a garment.
• Learn professional practice in the workshop.
No formal qualifications are required but an interest in and experience of art and design is highly beneficial.
All materials are provided however, if you would like to work with specific colours or specific materials you may wish to bring these with you.
