What stands out about this course?

This course aims to raise the student's knowledge of and skill in Maths and general numeracy (working with numbers), up to and including Higher Level GCSE (for suitable students only)  most GCSE students take the exam at Foundation Level.


What will I study?

The GCSE Mathematics course covers Number, Algebra, Statistics and Probability and Shape, Space and Measures calculations.


What are the entry requirements?

None required other than an interest in the subject.  Entry to distance learning is on completion of pre-course exercise to a good standard and induction with your home study tutor.


Where will it take me?

  • AS & A2 Level.
  • GCSE Mathematics at grade C or above may be required for some university courses, for teaching and many other general jobs.

How will I be assessed?

Higher/Foundation - Two papers - 50% of marks each – one with a calculator, one without.
