Learning Resource Centres

We offer a wide range of quality learning resources resource including:

•  Books and magazines
•  Topic boxes & files
•  DVD’s, electronic resources and e-books

You can access all electronic information both on and off campus through the college VLE. We provide independent study space and group study space to enable you to work on course projects and assignments. You can book computers in advance and take advantage of WiFi  available for laptop use.

The Learning Resource Centre Facilitators specialise in specific subject areas and liaise with staff within these divisions. This ensures you have relevant information and resources needed for your course, including copies of core text books. The facilitators will also help you to make the best use of the resources.

Degree level students will benefit from the vast array of electronic resources available. We offer group and one to one training sessions on request for electronic databases, journals, ebooks , study skills and bibliographies & referencing. You can use computers to access electronic databases and information sources, including the internet and the college Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for research and assignment purposes. Facilities include photocopying, printing and catalogue searching.

Some book stock is also available atother campuses including the Centre for Construction & Heritage, High Street, Skipton and Rural & Equine Centre at Skipton Auction Mart.
