Enrol on a Performing Arts course at Craven College and become part of a vibrant, creative community. You will have the chance to undertake many different performance opportunities, from performing in main shows or during practical classroom assessments to your peers, as well as to the public. Our courses are practical and work-related, and you will learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations. They will fully prepare you for employment or higher education.
You'll have the opportunity to work with or visit Performing Arts organisations, including The Mart Theatre, The Alhambra Theatre, and the West Yorkshire Playhouse, as well as contributing to the organisation and management of performance events, including The December Showcase, the Musical Theatre Production and the Performing Arts Festival, held each year.
Work experience opportunities are available with the International Puppet Festival held in Skipton, The Mart Theatre, York Dungeons, High Hat Theatre and the College’s in-house Murder Mystery Company.
Previous students have been offered places at leading drama schools and Universities from Central School of Speech and Drama, The Poor School, Rose Bruford, Middlesex University, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Leeds. Many of our Diploma students continue their studies on our own Foundation Degree in Performance
