Job roles in this industry range from chefs in small independent restaurants, managers in international hotels, bar and club managers, self-employed caterers, entertainment providers to event planners.
The hospitality industry has a vast range of exciting opportunities. You could be working for a small local restaurant as a kitchen assistant or customer facing food and drink role, perhaps working for a chain of exclusive hotels carrying out professional cookery or working front of house dealing directly with customers. Some Apprentices carry out all of these tasks with the same employer in a multi-skilled role. There are great opportunities locally and excellent progression routes to further your career.
Course duration is 14-18 months depending on level and age.

Additional Study
An assessor will visit the workplace regularly to assess your competence and to help you build a portfolio of evidence. Apprentices are required to attend day release at college to complete the associated Technical Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles
