The first time Damen touched a trowel was when he came to Craven College to begin his Apprenticeship. Whilst studying at West Craven High and Technology College he decided he wanted to follow in his brothers footsteps and become fully qualified in brickwork. He had admired his brother’s skills and success and knew the building trade was right for him.
“I enjoyed being an Apprentice and I really got my head down and put in a lot of work. I was awarded Apprentice of the Year, and am now fully qualified and working for a great company, Woolers of Keighley, so it just shows what you can do if you really want to!”
