Apprenticeships : Construction & Building Maintenance
Construction and building is a great opportunity to create, maintain, restore and develop whether it be buildings, internal reconstruction or public areas. Apprenticeships can be a gateway to learning a broad spectrum of skills or to help find a specialist area in this vast industry.
What will I study?
The construction and building maintenance industry is varied and a wide range of training and jobs are available. Apprentices select one main trade to study although this doesn’t mean that you won’t be involved in others whilst in the work place. You may be working for a large national organisation or working for small local company. Work will vary from development of new buildings to maintenance and restoration of listed buildings; few jobs will be the same.
