Choose Craven

We spend time developing our relations with local employers so that we can ensure a wide selection of opportunities for our apprentices. We make informed matches between student and employer for a mutually beneficial partnership. This is what brings 98% of our employers back to Craven College seeking new apprentices.

How will Apprenticeships benefit my business?

Apprentices receive relevant training which can have an immediate effect and make a meaningful contribution to your business. Their training is on-the-job so they can gain directly from the skills and experience of those around.

Apprentices are motivated people who are keen to learn. By offering Apprenticeships you will find it easier to recruit and retain young people as they become valued members of your organisation.

Apprenticeships are designed by businesses in your industry to meet sector specific needs. This means the training is always relevant and it is tailored to the needs of your business by people who genuinely understand what you do.

“The reason this scheme is so successful for us is because we take apprentices from 16 years old and train them up the Greenfingers way. Their workmanship is excellent and meets our high standards.” Employer – Lisa Higginbottom, Greenfingers Landscape Limited
