A Level study could lead on to higher level education at college or a university of your choice or straight into employment in your particular field: the choice is yours!

Overview

We offer the widest choice of AS and A Levels in the area, and the opportunity to mix vocational and GCSE subjects into your programme, so you can pick the subjects you enjoy studying and those which fit with your career plans. This allows you to create your own personalised learning goal and will enable you to become an expert learner.

You can choose up to four AS subjects in the first year (GCSE results dependent) and continue with three A2 Level subjects in the second year to gain full A Level qualifications. As an A Level student you will also complete the Extended Project Qualification: an exciting new initiative favoured by universities. Key skills will also be integrated into these options whilst language clubs and many others are available during our Wednesday afternoon enrichment sessions.

Our course team is made up of subject specialists, many with vocational experience, who provide an environment which encourages independence, self motivation and confidence in your ability. All of our programmes of study are supported by our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) giving you extended guided learning to improve your educational experience and grades.

Our tutorial programme enables you to reach your full academic and social potential through help and guidance. All tutors are well equipped to give careers guidance in their specialist subjects and have undergone comprehensive training regarding UCAS: the university central admissions service.

Evening options may also be available to add to your full time study. You are advised to apply early as demand for popular subjects is high, whilst those subjects which are under subscribed may not run.

Those who enter the Talented Students Programme may also be awarded the AQA Baccalaureate. This is a prestigious award recognised by universities. Such students will also take AS Citizenship as part of their personalised learning package. This is a very exciting addition to the A Level programme that is not offered locally elsewhere.

For subject specific requirements please see our A Level handbook. All A level subjects require an interview.
